What does a pilot feel when flying a military aircraft?
Many people have asked this question but only visitors to Model Expo will be able to find the answer: on 12 & 13 March 2022 the Air Force returns to the modelling show in Verona.
Flying enthusiasts and onlookers of all ages will be able to inspect at first hand the cockpit of an AMX single-engine aircraft built in Italy and Brazil since the 1980s and still in operation even with the 3rd Wing based in Villafranca.
Thanks to an enjoyable flight simulator, visitors will be able to experience the same sensations as pilots during operational flights. This is the Eurofighter Typhoon simulator, an advanced, fourth-generation, twin-engine multi-role military aircraft used in national air defence.
In addition, personnel from the 3rd Wing will hold a number of demos with a remote-controlled robotic vehicle used to deactivate explosive devices at a safe distance.
System operators will be on hand to provide information and explanations – but the most passionate enthusiasts will also find editorial material and many gadgets!
